Maula mere Maula

Maula Mere Maula: If "Tere Bin" ('Bas Ek Pal') has heart piercing impact then "Maula Mere Maula" brings out ambience of divine serenity that can be felt in this piously conceived love song. Roop Kumar Rathod's penetrating vocals seep through the senses and create an aura of divinity with chanting effect of "Maula Mere Maula" in the background. Sayed Quadri's romantically pure lyrics "Aankhen Teri Itni Haseen, Ki Inka Aashiq Main Ban Gaya…" are beautifully synchronized in soft and subtle musical arrangements. Mithoon creates magic again and no matter how the film fares but this number is sure to make big news. The divinity of "Sufi" music can be felt in sentimental tempo of the song with Roop Kumar Rathod delivering finest track of his career after 'Tere Liye" ('Veer Zaara'). Mithoon mixes soulful lyrics, delightful instrumental music and melodious vocals supported with echoing chanting chorus in a manner that the film will be a bookmark. There have been musical surprises in small budgets films in recent times and this soundtrack falls in this cadre. "Maula Mere Maula" will positively spark response from Bollywood's musical fraternity and will be another feather in Mithoon's cap after "Tere Bin". SOULFUL DELIGHT!!!

Tere Bin from Dehli Heights Rabbi Shergill

Tere Bin: Rabbi Shergill's trendy Sufi pop track "Tere Bin" (from his pop album "Bulla ka Jaana") needs no big introduction as it has already made news with album's success. Director Anand Kumar has materialized this Punjabi lingo pop track in the film and it will be high point in it. The slow paced rip-roaring bhangra music mixed is amalgamated well with titillating stringed musical rendition to give it a soft sentimental feel. Rabbi makes fine use of his vocal modulation that works in tandem with bhangra music to deliver a gripping effect. Hear it loud if you feel besotted by sentimental Punjabi pop tracks and it will definitely entertain you.

Rabbi Shergill should stick to his style of music and try to be more selective in rendering music for Bollywood. The album has impressive musical works in soundtracks like "Kitne Der Tak", "Kabhi Aana Na", "Dilli" and "Tere Bin" but disappoints with numbers like "Ey Gori". The album delivers above average music but will suffer heavily due to low promotion and weak face value.
